there is probably a broken solder joint on the instrument cluster circuit board. if you look at the circuit card itself there will be 2 resistors that look burned. by them there is a solder joint that connects the front and back of the board. check to see what side is not making connection and add solder to it. it takes a couple hours to do, and the solder job doesnt need to be perfect.

You have to pull the instrument cluster. The finsh panel needs to be removed first (screws are located inside the cluster area then there are a couple of clips holding it in.), the cluster is held in by 4 screws, once they are loose you should be able to lay the cluster forward, there are little sockets that can be turned a quarter turn that pull out, the bulbs are in each socket sockets may be white, gray or black. The bulbs are special and hard to find, you might have to go to a dealer to get them. If anyone has a better source for them I am all ears!

You can loosen the lower bolt a couple turns then loosen the upper bolt a couple turns and slide the alternator forward to get the old belt off and the new belt on.
