What happen to the ozone layer if it was damaged?

Ozone layer is essential for the survival of life on earth. It blocks 97% of the radiation received by the earth. If it is damaged, temperature rise of atmosphere will burn the humans on earth. And the harmful radiations will kill the rest.

Not good. It would essentially be global warming to the extreme. The world climate would increase radically, essentially making survival near impossible. We would be baked like Venus or Mars.

The situation though is impossible as long as there is oxygen in our atmosphere and there is sunlight. When sunlight hits oxygen, one of the reactions is ozone (O3). Thinning occurs annually over the poles each winter, towards the end of each poles winter due to a lack of sunlight. Once the sun returns, the ozone gradually builds up again.
