you will hiccup when something irritates your diaphragm
The diaphragm is the primary muscle responsible for breathing. When it contracts, it moves downward, creating a vacuum in the chest cavity which draws air into the lungs. When it relaxes, the diaphragm moves back up, pushing air out of the lungs.
Smoking can weaken the muscles of the diaphragm, making it harder for the diaphragm to contract and expand properly. This can lead to decreased lung function and difficulty breathing over time.
The diaphragm is a muscle located below the lungs that contracts and moves downward when you inhale, creating more space for your lungs to expand. This allows for air to be drawn into the lungs for oxygen exchange. When you exhale, the diaphragm relaxes and moves back up, pushing air out of the lungs.
The diaphragm muscles contract and relax pulling the diaphragm down and then releasing it. When we inhale, our diaphragm muscles contracts and flattens. When we exhale, they relax and arch upwards.

Both... your chest expands - pushing your rib-cage out, and your diaphragm pushes downwards - forcing your organs to move outwards slightly.
It contracts (and moves downward).
When breathing in, or inhaling, the diaphragm contracts, or tightens. When exhaling, or breathing out, the diaphragm expands, or loosens.
You hiccup * hic*
It becomes domed.
Ejection is the pushing out of something. Extraction is the pulling or taking out of something. Injection is the pushing in of something.
The diaphragm moves down to make the lungs expand (inhalation)
Adjusting the diaphragm adjusts the amount of light entering the objective.
because the diaphragm helps the lungs with the breathing.<3
