When plants get excess fertlizer(mostly chemical),they cannot absorb all of it...

So it mixes with the soil, and sometimes runs down withw water, causing water and soil pollution...plants wid 2 much chemical ferilizers are not in very good shape...a small amount is good...

Same way a person is with botox.. ;)

What would a control be for a experiment to see whether fertilizer helps a plant grow?

answer: compare a plant not given fertilizer to a plant given fertilizer..

Does the amount of fertilizer affect how tall the plant grows?

Yes, the amount of fertilizer can affect how tall a plant grows. Fertilizer provides essential nutrients for plant growth, and an excess of fertilizer can lead to excessive growth and potentially harm the plant. It is important to follow recommended guidelines for fertilizer application to promote healthy plant growth.

A scientist who wants to study the affects of fertilizer on plants sets up an experiment. Plant A gets no fertilizer Plant B gets 5 mg. of fertilizer each day and Plant C gets 10mg. of fertilizer each?

In this experiment, the scientist is investigating the effects of different fertilizer amounts on plant growth. Plant A serves as the control group with no fertilizer, while Plant B and Plant C receive 5 mg and 10 mg of fertilizer daily, respectively. By comparing the growth and health of these plants, the scientist can determine how varying levels of fertilizer influence plant development. The results may provide insights into the optimal fertilizer usage for maximizing plant growth.

Why is it incorrect to say fertilizer is plant food?

Fertilizer provides essential nutrients to plants, but it is not by itself plant food. Plants produce their own food through photosynthesis. Fertilizer merely supplements the nutrients in the soil to support plant growth and health.

Is fertilizer a plant?

Yes, fertilizer is a plant mineral.Specifically, fertilizer contains minerals. The minerals derive from plants when the fertilizers are considered organic. They derive from artificial, chemical or synthetic ingredients when the fertilizers are considered inorganic.

What happens to plant growth when you increase the amounts of fertilizer?

Plant growth will increase when fertilizer is added, in as much as the plant is deficient in the nutrients the fertilizer provides. Most processes in nature has a bell-shaped to its function where too much, even of a good thing, can begin to do harm.

Does fertilizer help a plant grow faster?

Fertilizer helps a plant grow because it add nutrition to the plant which helps the plant to thrive!

What happens when you use too much or too little fertilizer?

Using too much fertilizer can lead to fertilizer burn, where the excess salts in the fertilizer draw water out of the plant roots, causing damage. This can result in stunted growth, burned foliage, or even plant death. Conversely, using too little fertilizer can lead to nutrient deficiencies, resulting in poor growth, yellowing leaves, or reduced fruit production. It's important to carefully follow instructions when applying fertilizer to ensure the right balance for healthy plant growth.

Can you fine the research for which plant will grow faster with fertilizer one in the dark and the other in the sunlight?

No research is necessary. Fertilizer or no fertilizer, the plant in the light will grow faster.

How to add fertilizer to soil after planting to ensure healthy growth of the plants?
