usually high when infection is present
too much of white blood cells doesn't always mean a good thing. A high white blood cell count (also called leukocytosis) isn't a specific disease but could indicate an underlying problem. This is why high white blood cell count always requires further medical evaluation.
Yes! But also can be caused by infections What infections cause white blood cells to be high? The following conditions can cause white blood cell counts to be high: Viral or bacterial infection. Inflammation. Excessive physical or emotional stress (like fever ,injury, or surgery) Burns. Immune system disorders such as lupus or rheumatoid arthritis. Thyroid problems.
Consuming excess sugar can impair the function of white blood cells in the short term. High sugar intake may lead to inflammation and weakened immune response, making it harder for white blood cells to defend against infections. A balanced diet is important to support overall immune system function.
white blood cells are your body's defence system to bacteria and infection when it enters your body there are several types of white blood cells the main one is called a phagocyte which engulfs bacteria and using proteins it eats it others white blood cells include t cells and b cells
The presences of a large number of white bloods are usually a good indicator of infection due to the fact that white blood cells fight off pathogens. If a wound becomes infected that means that bacteria, viruses, fungi, or any other type of foreign body then white blood cells rush to the site to try and prevent the infection from spreading. This is sometimes how doctors are able to see if there is an underlying problem with a patient, such as an infection. They take blood samples and see the concentration of white to red.
Well to much white blood cells is ok but not ok, know what i mean? you might want to have that checked by a doctor. you need the same amount like about the same amount. to much is not good
Sickness.
Polycythemia or an increase in red blood cells
You get high.... America these days.
i have a white cell count of 13.7 is this high This is above the normal range.
High levels of white blood cells, known as leukocytosis, can be caused by infections, inflammation, stress, smoking, certain medications, and autoimmune disorders. It can also be a response to conditions such as leukemia or other bone marrow disorders. Identifying the underlying cause of elevated white blood cell levels is important for proper treatment.
If white blood cell count is high that means the body is responding to an infection.

I am not sure about the red blood cells, but white blood cell counts can be elevated by infections, cancers and the like, when white blood cells are created and deployed to try and combat the infection or cancer. One example is appendicitis. One true fire way besides poking the patient's side constantly to find out what's up, is to test the blood and if elevated white blood cells are found, then the symptoms will be matched up and so on.
