Why is glucose transported across cell plasma membrane?

They are required for the effective means of the "Electron Transport Chain" to function. Without protein channels and carriers the body could not effectively move carbohydrates around the body. Glucose is the only "sugar/carbohydrate" that can pass freely through cell membranes. Fats, sugars and other carbohydrates need assistance to complete what is known as the "KREB CYCLE" turning carbohydrates into ATP (Adenosinetriphosphate) or in lamens terms "energy". The simplest way to actually understand how it works is this: think of the whole Electron Transport Chain like a "FEDEX" company. You are a business of raw carbohydrates, fats etc and you need them refined and turned into another product in this case, Energy (ATP). So you pick up the phone and you call Fedex, they send a courier to pick it up (in this case it is the protein carrier) which takes it back to the DEPOT and places it onto a destination belt (your protein channel) where then it gets shipped off by other parts of FEDEX till it reaches its destination of the ETC(Electron transport chain) and finally produces ATP or energy. It's not that difficult if you can imagine it this way and substitute your biological terminology for simpler occupations within a courier company. Without the carriers or the protein channels the body would absolutely have no way of breaking down the carbohydrates to turn them into ATP.

Road map to badrinath?

The road map to Badrinath, Himalayas, Uttarakhand, India is on Google maps. However, if for any reason you cannot see it there then here is the route. Get to Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, North India. This town is located on the banks of the Holy river Ganga and getting there is easy. Best way is with a train to either Haridwar or one 1st class train goes to Rishikesh too. Haridwar is just 20 kms from Rishikesh. It is from Rishikesh that all journeys to the mountain locations of Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri & Yamunotri begin. From Rishikesh going towards Badrinath is totally surrounded by mountains. There is no other way except by road. The speeds are limited and the distance is 301 kms to Badrinath from Rishikesh, be prepared to stop. No night driving is permitted and I don't recommend it either. From Rishikesh about 47 kms is the first town Devprayag, thereafter one has to passthrough Rudraprayag, Srinigar, Karanprayag, Pipalkoti, Joshimath, Pandukeshwar before arriving at Badrinath. The entire Highway is named as Hwy No.58. You just have to stay on this highway all the way from Rishikesh to Badrinath. It's named as a Highway but the speed is limited to 40 km/hr and in some places it is much slower than that. All of the towns are on the banks of the confluences of river Ganga which is renamed to Alaknanda river after Rudraprayag. Badrinath is located on the banks of the holy river Alaknanda. If you would like more information on these Himalayan ranges please feel free to write to me at paulmanish2god@yahoo.com. Alternately look up for Badrinath, India in Google maps and the entire route will be displayed. There is no other route. Helicopter service is sometimes available during peak season but is extremely and unnecessarily expensive and is not recommended since you are likely to miss the beauty of the Majestic Himalayas. I hope your question is answered.

Why can't we travel at light speed?

There's no proof that nothing can travel faster than the speed of light, but according to Einstein's theory of relativity as an object moves more quickly it also gains mass. Accordingly accelerating an object up to the speed of light would require infinite energy because it gets harder and harder to push the faster it goes.
