The Zimmerit coating for tanks was originally used by the Germans during WWII as a coating to pretect their Armored Fighting Vehicles and Self Propelled Guns from magnetic mines. While Zimmerit itself has no anti-magnetic properties, the ridged texture that it was given in the factories prevented the magnetic mines from making direct contact with the surface of the tank. At which point, the tanks own movement and vibrations would cause the mine to fall off. It was a wonderful idea, but the Germans were the only country to actually employ the use of magnetic mines during the war.
A dip coating tank is used to immerse objects into a liquid coating material to create a thin film on the surface. This method is commonly used for coating items with protective layers, such as paint or varnish, to enhance their durability and appearance. Dip coating tanks are versatile and can be used for various materials and shapes.

Collagen is the extracurricular matrix coating. This is found on the outside.
Lotus have waxy coating on the leaves to protect them from water.
Non metallic coating is not very stable except Graphite coating other coating includes Sulphur coating and organic coating of polymers the temporary coating of wax ,grease and oils also may be used.

Fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) tanks or high-density polyethylene (HDPE) tanks are commonly used for storing sulfuric acid due to their resistance to corrosion and ability to withstand the highly acidic nature of the substance. These tanks are designed to be robust and durable to ensure safe storage of sulfuric acid without the risk of leakage or contamination. Regular maintenance and inspections are also necessary to ensure the integrity of the tanks and prevent any potential hazards.

Most vehicles have their fuel tanks made of steel. There are a few exceptions, or course, but steel is a good choice for the job. For a while now fuel tanks have been made of what is called terne steel or Ni-TERNE steel. A little coating of lead-tin is applied, and sometimes with nickel (in the case of Ni-TERNE) to improve the workablity of the metal and also increase its resistance to corrosion. U.S. Steel has a page on this stuff. Who would know better than them? You got a link.
