im still looking for an idea i have to do a 3D model of somthing that's like a cell and so far the best was a city becaus the library could be the nucleus cause it holds info the fedex could be the Golgi body cause it pagages and ships stuff the mitochondria could be the the power plant the grocery store or the dump could be the vacuole....?
Microtubules can be metaphorically described as the "scaffolding" or "highways" of the cell. They provide structural support, maintaining the cell's shape, and facilitate intracellular transport, much like roads that enable vehicles to move goods between locations. This metaphor highlights their crucial role in cellular organization and movement, enabling the dynamic functions necessary for life.
It culd be a security guard because security guard protect what they need to protect lik cell wall protecting cell It could be a egg cell protect the yolk like cell wall protecting the cell
Many textbooks will compare a cell membrane to the fluid mosaic model, which means that the parts of the membrane (phospholipids, cholesterol, proteins etc.) are not stuck in one place; they move around and can pass by one another while still keeping the integrity of the membrane. That is mainly for the structure, but structure always lends to function.

The rough endoplasmic reticulum can be likened to a factory assembly line, where ribosomes are workers diligently assembling proteins. Just as a factory organizes materials and components to create a final product, the rough ER structures and processes proteins destined for various functions within the cell. This metaphor highlights its role in protein synthesis and quality control within the cellular economy.
Power plant is a common metaphor for the mitochondia.
Cytoplasm is snot. GET IT ITS A METAPHOR?!
A maintenace crew...the trash and recycling compactors
Its a metaphor
it is neither, it is personification

Implied metaphor is when it gives you the metaphor but doesn't tell what the subject is. A regular metaphor tells you the subject of it.

Metaphor
The cytoplasm can be metaphorically compared to a jello-like substance that fills the cell, providing a medium for organelles to float and interact within.
