I recently replaced my springs. There is a shorter one that's closer to the engine and a longer one that goes at a diagonal. The problem I'm having is that they seem to stretch out quickly so they don't really work efficiently. I'm looking for the owner's manual PDF (again) online and I'll post it here when I find it.
In hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), the series configuration involves the internal combustion engine solely generating electricity for the electric motor which then drives the wheels. This setup allows for more efficient operation by eliminating the mechanical link between the engine and wheels, enabling the engine to operate at its optimal efficiency point. The battery is used to store and supply energy to the electric motor during acceleration or when extra power is needed.

A V8 engine has eight cylinders, in a 'V' configuration, four on each side.
An "L" configured engine is also referred to as a "V" engine. In a 90 degree V configuration the engine may be referred to as an "L", such as with a Ducati motorcycle. L-twin - 2 cylinders 90 degrees apart (shaped like the letter L). When the cylinders are less than 90 degrees apart, such as with a Harley-Davidson, it is referred to as a V-twin.
