Dehydration in geological terms is a process which occures during metamorphosis. As a rock moves to a higher pressure and temprature, say as it is traveling down a subduction zone the water will gradually be taken out of it. The deeper the rock travels, the more dehydrated it becomes untill eventually there is no water left in it and it is compleatly dry.
In a dehydration reaction, compounds like alcohols, carboxylic acids, or sugars can lose a water molecule to form a new compound. For example, in the dehydration of an alcohol, a water molecule is removed to form an alkene. Similarly, in the dehydration of a sugar molecule, water is removed to form an unsaturated compound.
Meteorology is not a field of geology, but rather a branch of atmospheric science that deals with the study of weather patterns and phenomena. Physical geology, on the other hand, is a fundamental field of geology that focuses on the study of the Earth's composition, structure, and processes. Other major fields of geology include mineralogy, petrology, and structural geology.
The term hydro-geology is derived from two words; hydro, which means water and geology, which means the study of earth. Hydro-geology is the field of geology which is concerned with the distribution and movement of groundwater in the soil and rocks of the earths crust.
Principles of Geology was created in 1830.

On average, a person can survive without drinking water for about 3-5 days before experiencing dehydration. However, this can vary depending on factors such as age, health, and environmental conditions. It is important to stay hydrated by drinking water regularly to prevent dehydration.
