That is called Mimicry.

This is when a species evolves to share common percieved characteristics with another species.

What is a structural adaptation that enables one species to resemble another species' may provide protection from predators or other advantages?

Mimicry is a structural adaptation where one species has evolved to resemble another species, providing protection from predators or other advantages. This can include Batesian mimicry, where a harmless species mimics the appearance of a harmful species, or Mullerian mimicry, where two harmful species resemble each other to reinforce a warning signal to predators.

What are protits?

A predator is animal that preys on another mainly as a food source. In nature many animals are predators or prey.

Which best shows an animals adaptation to the tropical rain forest?

One example of an animal adaptation to the tropical rainforest is a sloth's slow metabolism and slow movement, allowing it to conserve energy and thrive in the dense vegetation with limited food resources. Another example is how poison dart frogs have bright colors to warn predators of their toxicity, deterring them from being eaten. These adaptations help animals survive and thrive in the challenging and diverse tropical rainforest environment.

What is the structural adaptation of an organism that enables it to resemble another harmful species?

This structural adaptation is called mimicry. Mimicry allows an organism to closely resemble a harmful species in order to gain protection from predators that avoid the harmful species. By mimicking the warning signals or appearance of a harmful species, the mimicking organism can deter predators and increase its chances of survival.

What is the role of the prey in an ecosystem?

Predators~ the animals that hunt on other animals. Prey~ the animals that get hunted upon.

Is mimicry a structural or behavioral adaptation?

Anything that leads to survival and reproductive success is, generally, an intrinsic adaption. If a butterfly were to mimic another butterfly that was poison to it's predators then those self same predators would tend to leave the non-poison butterfly alone as well as the poison butterfly thus leading to survival and reproductive success for the mimic.

What are two types of adaptation that plants and animals have that ensure their survival?

An organism adapts to conditions in the environment when it develops a behavioral or a physical characteristic that helps it to survive. ex: Monkeys having a long tail to swing on trees while they use their hands and feet to gather food or a skunks' horrible smell makes larger animals choose something else to eat.

What is an adaptation in which an animal is protected against predators by its resemblance to another unpleasant animal?

Mimicry.

Is camouflage a physical adaptation or a behavioral adaptation?

Physical adaptations are when something in protein expression of the organism changes through random mutations and survival of the fittest to help the organism survive, like beaks on a bird can harden or take another shape, this helps defend itself or to help with getting food. Camouflage is a physical adaptation, as it is a physical change in appearance, directly related to the pigment proteins in an animal. Also I Protazoa is a dummy and stupid!

How do animals use their sounds?

Animals use their sounds to scare off predators or talk to one another.

Is camofluage an example of adaptation?

Yes. It stops predators noticing their prey when their prey appear invisible through camouflage on another surface.

What is an animals mimicry?

Animal mimicry is the habit of imitating other animals, such as imitating their sounds, their habits....etc,used to confuse their predators,to communicate with other animal of same species..etc.

How is movement an important adaptation for some animals?

Movement is an important adaptation of some animals because when environments that were home to the animals are destroyed or taken over the animal can move to another ecosystem.

What are the adaptation of the lemur?

Even as a proffessor of anatomy at Sydney University, I have extensively studied a broad range of animals, including the colugo (flying lemur), however i only know of three adaptations. 2 of which are structural and one behavioral adaptation which could also be physiological. The two structural adaptations of the colugo of South East Asia are its large eyes which allow it to see and hunt more efficiently at night and the membrane (patagium) that goes around its whole body allowing it to glide from tree to tree and hunt more efficiently. The behavioral adaptation is that the colugo is nocturnal, yet this could possibly even be a physiological adaptation on the colugo, not a change in its behaviour in response to different foods available in different times throughout the day and night. If anyone has 1 more behavioral adaptation it would really help me out as a student asked me the same thing and I would prefer to not look a fool. So if anyone knows another behavioral adaptation of the colugo (flying lemur) of South-East Asia please post it OMG i cant belive that coolieo Not sure about behavioral but camouflage counts as an adaptation, right? ?? ^_^If you are a professor of anatomy, shouldn't you be reading primary literature to determine the behavioral / structural / physiological adaptations of mammals?

Apart from their coat and their spray what is another adaptation for a skunk?

Their coloration is a warning to other animals. Their long claws allow them to dig out prey animals like insects and mice.

What are the two types of animal adaptations?

Some examples are:mimicry(harmless mountain snake imitates poisonous coralsnake),camouflage(chameleon<probably what you know already>) and counter-shading(penguin has a black back to camouflage itself from predators on top and a white front to camouflage itself from predators below)
