Assuming you mean bullet grains, which is how most preloaded ammo is categorized, the answer is going to depend on what you intend to use it for. Generally, the 124 grain JHPs are a good all around choice. The 115 gr bullets are OK for hunting small animals or just plinking.
You may use any 9mm Parabellum (9mm Luger) cartridge that is standard or +P, including 124 grain ammo. Recoil may be higher than with 115 grain ammo. Do NOT use a +P+ cartridge.
For a 9mm Parabellum (aka 9mm Luger) the muzzle velocity of a 124 gr bullet will run ABOUT 1120-1170 feet per second, depending on exact load and barrel length.
shoot them and see results. I load 9mm with 115 and 124 grains, so 125 grain 'might' be little heavy for 380, but that does not mean they won't preform well. Try & see ??
