Human lungs are pretty tough against cold air, but past about -80F (-60C) you'll want to breathe from and into your coat where the air is warmed by your body. It doesn't naturally get much colder than that anywhere on our planet.

Breathing anything warmer than -80F might be uncomfortable, but won't cause injury.
