Problem-based learning is a learning strategy that incorporates specific instructional preplanned activities, focused on a relevant learner problem, and allows for the flexibility of the
situation and the learners in the classroom. This course model has its foundation in the theories of
humanistic, learner-centered, and problem-centered design approaches.
The earth-centered model created by Ptolemy is called the Ptolemaic model or geocentric model. It proposed that the Earth was the center of the universe, with all celestial bodies moving around it in circular orbits.
Copernicus
The word for earth-centered is geocentric,
The Sun-centered or heliocentric model of the solar system is called the Copernican model (after Copernicus) and more closely matches the modern astronomical notions. By contrast, the geocentric or Earth-centric model is often called the Ptolemaic.

There are a few different types of approaches to curriculum design. These approaches are subject-centered, problem-centered, and learner or child-centered.
Subject centered design model is widely used in the United States. It focuses on the content of the curriculum. The sequence of the lessons follows the logic of the subject matter.
The main approaches to curriculum design are subject-centered, student-centered, and problem-centered. In subject-centered design, the curriculum focuses on specific subject areas or disciplines. In student-centered design, the curriculum is tailored to meet the needs and interests of individual students. In problem-centered design, the curriculum is structured around real-world problems or issues that students will need to solve.
In the education system a subject-centered approach means that you will only take modules around your core subject and not take modules in other subjects. It can also refer to less rounded educational systems where the focus is on core subjects as apposed to social skills / life skills etc

Different models of curriculum design vary in their approach and focus. For example, the Tyler model is more focused on defining objectives and outcomes, while the Taba model emphasizes collaboration and student input. The Hilda Taba model also places importance on evaluation and reflection throughout the curriculum design process.
I believe you should call it User Centered Design. This design methodology focuses the software design on the end users. While many design processes focus on technology, they should be focus on the end-user. User Centered Design methodology implies R&D teams should consider the design from the users' perspective.
