Okay, I'm going to try to be nice here. First of all, octapi are NOT dumb. They are wonderful creatures. Think of them, They have 8 tentacles-tentacles that can grow back. After it is injured. If part is ripped off, then it will grow back. At that thought, its kinda grose, but really fasinating!!! The female octopus is born, then later in its life mates and gives birth, then shortly after giving birth, she dies. I did not look that up, I went to the Georiga Aquariam. If you ever over there, go to that aquariam. Its a wonderful place!! Anyway, the octopus is a like a cousin to the squid. As far as I know, they both use an inky substance to defend themselves.
