Temperature a measure of the average vibration or movement of particles, they are constantly moving, vibrating in solids. As things get colder they vibrate less.

It was calculated that the temperature where particles would stop moving completely to be -273.15 C or -459 F. They then called this absolute 0. They then used a Celsius scale for the absolute scale. So the melting point of ice is 0 Celsius which equates to 273.15 Kelvin. (Kelvin is the name of the scale)

Hope that helps.

What is the difference between absolute temperature scale and kelvin scale urgent I am convinced that there is a difference?

The Kelvin scale is an absolute temperature scale where 0K represents absolute zero. The absolute temperature scale refers to any temperature scale that starts at absolute zero, such as the Kelvin scale. So, the Kelvin scale is a specific type of absolute temperature scale.

What is unique about the kelvin temperature scale?

It is an absolute measurement scale of temperature. 0K is absolute zero there are no negative units on the scale (degrees centigrade [celsius] + 273 = degrees Kelvin). This also is the case on the Rankine temperature scale (degrees fahrenheit +459.69 = degrees Rankine)

What is the zero on the Kelvin scale?

It is Absolute Zero. On the Kelvin scale there are no negative numbers...so therefore absolute zero on the kelvin scale is zero. All we might add is that absolute zero is --273.15 degrees C.

The Fahrenheit absolute scale is called the scale?

The Fahrenheit scale is not absolute and also is obsolete. The absolute scale is Kelvin.

What is Fahrenheit absolute scale?

An absolute scale is a system of measurement that begins at zero and only goes one way. So since on a regular Fahrenheit scale where absolute zero is −459.67, you would say absolute zero is zero and freezing point becomes 491.67.

What is the Celsius absolute scale called?

the celsius absolute scale is called what?

What temperature scale includes absolute zero?

The Kelvin Scale contains absolute zero.

Which scale is called as the absolute scale?

Kelvin.

In degrees Celsius what is absolute?

The Celsius scale is not absolute. It has no absolute value.

The kelvin scale is used to measure what?

The Kelvin scale is used to measure absolute temperature, i.e., temperature from absolute zero. The way it is defined, there are no negative temperatures on the Kelvin scale. The Kelvin scale is used to measure absolute temperature, i.e., temperature from absolute zero. Absolute zero in terms of Celsius?

Absolute zero is defined as 0K on the Kelvin scale and as -273.15° on the Celsius scale. This equates to -459.67° on the Fahrenheit scale.
