Super Cool Rain is rain which falls as snow then melts on the way down and before i touches the ground again quickly freezes but not enough so when it touches a solid it freezes instantly

How is rain different from freezing rain?

Freezing rain is composed of super-cooled waterwhich freezes on contact with any freezing surface, forming glaze ice.Ordinary rain has a temperature above freezing and will not instantly turn to ice.

Why are super cooled metals good conductors?

Super cooled metals are good conductors because their super cooled properties allow them to conduct electric currents without resistance. This means no loss of energy.

What is the definition of freezing rain?

Freezing rain is caused when you have a precipitating cloud deck with a mass of warm air below it and then a thin mass of freezing air near the ground. When the precipitation falls from the cloud, it will generally be snow. As it encounters the warm air, it melts into the usual water droplets of rain. But right before it reaches the ground, it enters the layer of below-freezing air and quickly turns into super-cooled water droplets. On landing on any freezing object, it instantly turns into a layer of ice. That can turn streets into skating rinks in no time!It falls as a liquid, but when it hits the ground it freezes.

Why glass is called a super cooled liquid?

The definition of glass is a super cooled liquid. Any liquid that is super cooled takes on the properties of glass. Glass as you think of it is just super cooled silica. What happens is that it is cooled so quickly that it doesn't actually undergo a phase change back to a solid. In reality glass is just an incredibly slow moving liquid.

Is there any real super conductors?

Yes,Mercury at 4kelvin is a super conductor it can be cooled down to that temperature.

Why is glass called a super cooled material?

It is not a correct name; glass is an amorphous solid.

A material that has almost zero resistance when it is cooled to low temperatures is a....?

Super Conductor :)

Why super conductor is not used?

b'coz super conductivity is achieved only when the material is cooled below a critical temperature. if it cooled above the critical temp. than the material ceases to be a super conductor. to maintain it conductivity helium and liquid nitrogen which is not easy 2 be used that is why super conductor can't be used for commercial purposes in our day to day life
