On average, there are around 50,000 wildfires reported in the United States each year. These wildfires can vary in size and intensity, and can have significant impacts on the environment, communities, and wildlife.

On average, there are around 70,000 wildfires reported in the United States each year, which equates to roughly 192 wildfires per day. These can vary in size and severity, with some requiring significant resources to contain and others being relatively small and quickly controlled.
There have been thousands of wildfires since 1980, with the exact number varying each year. The total number of wildfires can be influenced by factors such as climate conditions, human activity, and land management practices.
This question is fairly difficult; I'm sorry to say there is no exact answer because it gets increasingly hotter year by year now. The answer for 2008 is about 1000 in the whole world. If you can prove me wrong do so but until then I'm right and you are wrong. Haha.^_^
As a (somewhat educated) Californian, my humble opinion is that they are a deadly prerequisite for new life. Lightning strikes account for very few of the wildfires that occur each year. SmokeyBear would say that 90% of wildfires (or more) are caused by human carelessness. An arboreal specialist would tell us that each tree harbors at least 100 lives. Proper management of our forests (including control of the underbrush) would reduce the number of wildfires each year. Without the cleansing effect of wildfires, forests would be unable to evolve.
The US has approximately 45,000 acres that burn each year from wildfires. This is a estimate as the amount of fires in the US are becoming more and more major disaster then ever before.
