I am not a Geologist, but I do know this: Rocks are composed of different minerals. In a field of gold, a rock could be made up of gold; likewise, in a field of silver, a rock could be made up of silver. The same is true of rocks that are made up of copper, zinc, feldspar, chalk, granite, marble, etc. Generally, when we look out the wiindow and see large rocks across the landscape, we call them "rocks". Closer observation would reveal their composition, should we need to know that.

What is the igneous rock between granite and basalt?

Andesite is considered an intermediate rock between granite (felsic igneous rock) and basalt (mafic igneous rock), based on chemical composition.

What are the chemical formula of the igneous rock?

Rocks are mixtures and so do not have chemical formulas. Igneous rocks vary in composition, so there is no way of giving a formula.

Rate of cooling of the magma and Chemical composition of the magma.

What chemical property is most commonly used to classify igneous rock?

The mineral composition (silica content) is the chemical property most commonly used to classify igneous rocks. This can help differentiate between different types of igneous rocks, such as basalt, andesite, and granite.

When magma crystallizes what is formed?

How does chemical composition effect igneous rocks?

It affects the color.

What can you conclude from the color of igneous rocks?

Their origin, and chemical composition.
