Alpha Linoleic acid
The common name of methanoic acid is formic acid.
Hydrochloric acid is a common name for muriatic acid.
Three examples of saturated fatty acids are palmitic acid, stearic acid, and lauric acid. These fatty acids have single bonds between carbon atoms in their hydrocarbon chains. Three examples of unsaturated fatty acids are oleic acid, linoleic acid, and arachidonic acid. These fatty acids have one or more double bonds in their hydrocarbon chains.
Common acids found in oils and fats are primarily fatty acids, which include saturated and unsaturated types. Notable examples include palmitic acid, stearic acid, oleic acid, and linoleic acid. These fatty acids are key components that contribute to the physical and chemical properties of oils and fats. Additionally, some oils may contain small amounts of other organic acids, such as acetic acid or butyric acid.
The common name of the carboxylic acid found in rancid butter is butyric acid.
Trans fat is the common name for unsaturatedfatwith transisomer fatty acid.
The name given to glycerol plus fatty acid-monoglyceride plus water is a triglyceride. Triglycerides are the most common type of fat found in the body and in food, serving as a major source of energy.
Omega-3 fatty acids are a family of n-3 fatty acids and therefore not a drug or chemical. There is no more specific a name for this group of fatty acids than omega-3. Three fatty acids in this group that are of nutritional significance in the human diet are: α-linolenic acid (ALA), eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA).
The IUPAC name would be 1-nonadecanoic acid. I am not aware of a common name for this. Naturally occuring "fatty" acids have even numbers of carbons, such as 1-octadecanoic acid with 18, and these have "common" names like stearic acid. Odd numbered long chain acids are synthetic and typically do not have common names.
C19 1 omega 9 refers to a fatty acid known as 19-carbon unsaturated fatty acid with a double bond located at the omega-9 position. Its systematic name is 9-Nonadecenoic acid. This type of fatty acid is part of a group of monounsaturated fatty acids and is less commonly discussed compared to more prevalent fatty acids like oleic acid (C18:1).
The common name for Phosphoric Acid is orthophosphoric acid.
The common name for ethanoic acid is acetic acid.
Triglycerides are a type of fatty acid that aid in the bodily processes of the liver. They are composed of one glycerol and three fatty acids, hence the name, tri-glycerides.
The common name of methanoic acid is formic acid.
Hydrochloric acid is a common name for muriatic acid.
Formic Acid is the archaic common name. Its modern IUPAC name is Methanopic Acid. The formula is HCOOH
Oxalic Acid is the old name for ethanedioic acid. Its structure is HO(O=)C - C(=O)OH
