It began from a South Park episode, and some have attributed it to an Insane Clown Posse song...but the reason is that Magnetism, along with many other scientific laws is not explained by religion. Most Mormons would reply that there is magnetism because "god" had made it so, not the scientific answer - either a moving electric field or spin of quantum particles. This latter process causes materials to become inherantly magnetic (like a bar magnet) when a large majority of particles (particularly electrons) have the same spin, which results in a north-south pole configuration.

Why do Mormons get pissed off when you ask about magnets?

They don't, but we're starting to get annoyed. Why do people keep asking us Mormons about magnets? They're great, they stick to metal, they hang things on the fridge... whats the big deal? I don't know... someone started asking Mormons about magnets and we don't know why.

Do Mormons like magnets?

Uhhh... sure? There are nearly 14 million members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) around the world. Most of them use magnets. Some of them probably collect magnets. The Church and it's members have no beliefs or doctrines about magnets.

What is a Pearson correlation and an example of it?

A Pearson correlation measures the strength and direction of a linear relationship between two continuous variables, ranging from -1 (perfect negative correlation) to 1 (perfect positive correlation). An example could be studying the correlation between the amount of rainfall and crop yield in agricultural research to understand how variations in rainfall affect crop productivity.

Is it safe to rub magnets on Mormons?

Sure. Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) are human just like anyone else, and it isn't extremely harmful to rub a magnet over human skin. If you have iron rich blood or a pacemaker and are exposed to extremely strong magnets for long periods of time, it can cause problems, but just rubbing a normal refrigerator magnet on your skin wont do anything.

State the law that determine the magnitude of the force between 2 magnets?

The law that determines the magnitude of the force between two magnets is known as the magnetic force law, which states that the force between two magnets is directly proportional to the product of their magnetic pole strengths and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them.

The way a magnet works is they have magnetic Fields from the north and south pole.

You use magnets. And Mormons have the only know schematics for a laser cannon. Sorry buddy.

Is there a correlation between handedness and thumb dominance?

No, there is not a correlation.

What is multiple correlation coefficient and partial correlation coefficient?

partial correlation is the relation between two variable after controlling for other variables and multiple correlation is correlation between dependent and group of independent variables.

What is the type of correlation where there in no relationship between two data sets?

There is no correlation.

What is the maximum and minimum value of the correlation coefficient?

The correlation can be anything between +1 (strong positive correlation), passing through zero (no correlation), to -1 (strong negative correlation).
