Lipids are non-polar hydrocarbons and are non-water soluble. Van de vaals forces (attractions between non-polar molecules) hold them together. So in a way they are not REALLY polymers since they are not joined by covalent bonds. But it is convenient to think of them as polymers. They are joined by what are called ester linkages, these are condensation reactions that release H2O in the process of joining.
I hope this helps !
the nucleus
An important feature that all lipids have in common with one another is they are hydrophobic structures.
That are the lipids. They have fatty acids and glucerols
A specific characteristic is a unique quality or feature that distinguishes one thing from another. It is a defining trait that helps to identify or describe an object, person, or animal.
Carbon tetrachloride is considered an inorganic compound because it does not contain carbon-hydrogen bonds, which are a defining feature of organic compounds.
the nucleus
The defining feature of a nation-state is that it will have a constituent citizenry, a government and defined borders. A constituent citizenry also means a fixed territory in which it claims jurisdiction and sovereignty.
John Stuart Mill
A jelly fish. Cnidarian's have a sting cell called a cnidnocyte which is the defining feature.
Prokaryotic cells, unlike eukaryotic cells, do NOT contain a nucleus.
not really, bacteria and viruses can also reproduce and by definition they are not 100% alive
Art always has meaning
Some of the defining characteristics of Western culture are:ReasonIndividualismWorldly happinessRights & proper governmentCapitalism
A stinging cell, that all cnidarians have. It's called a nematocyte. It is the defining characteristic of the phylum.

The defining feature is that they have membrane-bound organelles and a nucleus (which contains the genetic material) enclosed by a nuclear envelope in the cell.
