The comfort zone is a level of risk where one feels in control and completely familiar with the circumstances and outcomes of a planned or unplanned situation. In contrast, the terror zone is an increased level of risk where one feels a lack of control over a situation. Nevertheless, personal growth and development only manifests outside one's comfort zone and only after overcoming the terror zone.
