They are both asexual means of reproduction. The key difference is that seeds are planted in the ground, whereas spores fall off of plants that reproduce by spores and create a plant else where. Seeds and spores will not create "genetic clones" like binary fission and budding do. Only one parent supplies the genetic information for the off spring. SO child is identical to the parent.
