The foci of an eclipse refer to the two points within the elliptical orbit of the Moon where the Earth is located at the time of the eclipse. These points define where the alignment between the Sun, Earth, and Moon occurs, leading to either a solar or lunar eclipse.
The next total solar eclipse visible in Alaska will occur on September 12, 2045. It will be a rare opportunity to witness the moon completely blocking the sun for about two minutes. Be sure to mark your calendar for this spectacular celestial event in the future.
There are two names for it, depending on where you are located at the moment. On the part of the earth that the sunlight is shining on, it's called "day", and on the partwhere the sun is not shining, it's called "night".
Definitely not! Two people standing right next to each other will generally have the same view, but if two people are a mile apart, its' possible that one will experience a total solar eclipse while the other will see only a partial eclipse. For people who are right on the edge of the path of totality, it's possible to do an interesting experiment; line up a set of telescopes every 10 yards or so, connected to photosensors and highly accurate clocks. Measure the precise time at which the Sun flickers into view through the valleys in the mountains on the Moon, and you can create amazingly accurate elevation maps of the lunar mountains.
A roofed passageway is a covered walkway that provides shelter from the elements while connecting two buildings or leading from one area to another. It is often designed to protect pedestrians from rain, snow, or extreme heat, and can be found in places like shopping centers, airports, and historic buildings.
it has somethign to do with Washington DC
The Ellipse (officially called President's Park South) is a 52-acre park located between the White House and the Washington Monument. Properly, the Ellipse is the name of the five-furlong circumference street within the park.
The Ellipse is a large public green space just off of the National Mall in Washington DC. The US Department of Commerce flanks one side and several buildings and monuments sit on the other. Directly to the north is the South Lawn of the White House. The Ellipse contains several memorials and houses the White House Christmas Tree in December.

eclipse is of two kinds- solar eclipse and lunar eclipse
There are generally two solar eclipses and two lunar eclipses each year. Sometimes there are as little as one; on rare occasions, there can be as many as five, but two is most common. However, in a solar eclipse the shadow of the Moon hits the Earth. There's only a small area of the Earth that's affected by any one eclipse, and you won't see an eclipse if you're not in that small area. So for any particular spot on the Earth, there may be a couple of hundred years between eclipses. Sometimes you can get lucky. There's an area in Missouri which will see two total solar eclipses 7 years apart, in 2017 and 2024.
