On January 2nd, 2011 it snowed at 1,300 ft. above sea level in Santa Clarita, CA towards the north end of the city near Interstate 5 in an area called the Grapevine. This however is not the lowest I have ever seen.

One morning in the mid 1990's in the San Fernando Valley it snowed a thin layer that melted before noon. Average elevation is somewhere around 650 feet above sea level to my knowledge (Sherman Oaks for example).
