The concept of employee bonding is really an insurance matter relating to the employer’s efforts to protect itself against wrongful acts by its employees. In industries where employees have direct access to money or to property, the employer will often be keen to protect itself against the impact of employee theft.

Also, certain businesses will be required by their customers to provide proof that they are bonded. For instance, customers of commercial cleaning companies might demand the cleaners be bonded. This provides both peace of mind (that the cleaners are trustworthy) and financial protection in the event of theft.

It could have appeared that they were simply another flock of phoebes arriving in the region to nest if the bands hadn't been present, but the presence of the bands highlighted the species' nesting site fidelity and provided insight into the birds' nesting and migratory routines. This was a thrilling find, and it would not have been possible if Audubon hadn't decided to band the birds.

If your job requires working with a lot of cash or valuables, your employer may ask that you be bonded. Bonding is a type of insurance for the employer. It protects business owners from employee theft and also compensates the employer in cases of property loss caused by an employee.

The question "Have you ever been bonded?" is typically asking if you have ever been employed in a job that required you to be bonded. Being bonded means that a company has purchased a type of insurance policy that protects them against financial losses in case an employee commits fraud or theft while on the job.

In some cases, companies may require employees to be bonded as a condition of employment, particularly if the employee will have access to sensitive financial information or assets. So if someone asks if you have ever been bonded, they may be inquiring about your previous work experience and the level of trust your previous employers had in you.

Job appliation have you ever been bonded?

Bonded usually refers to a a company taking out an insurance policy on you. I am most familiar with it in the non profit word where the executive and the financial staff are boned when the agency is given significant amount of government money. The idea is that if the staff steal the money, the insurance company will cover the loss. On a job application, I would assume they are trying to ascertain if there has ever been a problem so that you were not eligible to be bonded. I believe its a backward way to ask about criminal backgrounds.
