What is the mitchrondria?

The mitochondria (not mitchrondria) is known as the powerhouse of the cell. It is made up of an outer and inner membrane and a matrix. It is an organelle that takes in nutrients, breaks them down, and creates energy for the cell. It is the main thing that creates energy for the body to function.
