Will 95 percent alcohol burn?

Under typical distillation conditions, ethanol can only be purified to 95% with 5% water remaining. There are additional techniques that can be used to remove the remaining water to make it anhydrous (no water). Do not confuse 95% alcohol with 95% denatured alcohol. In denatured alcohol the remaining 5% is composed of other alcohol impurities like methanol, propanol, and butanol, to name a few.

Why is kerosene used to remove paint rather than water?

Kerosene is a solvent that effectively breaks down the chemical bonds in paint, making it easier to remove. Water is not as effective at breaking down these bonds, so kerosene is a better choice for paint removal.

How do you convert blue kerosene in to white kerosene?

To convert blue kerosene to white kerosene, you can add activated charcoal to the blue kerosene and let it sit for a few hours. However, it is important to note that denatured alcohol can be drying and irritating to some skin types, so it is best to use it in moderation and consult with a dermatologist if you have sensitive skin.

Can denatured alcohol and rubbing alcohol be used interchangeably to dissolve glue?

I'm not sure but I have used rubbing alcohol to remove glue on my bamboo flooring and it works. Just pour some on the spot, let it sit for about 5 mins. or more and then rube it off with a wast cloth or something like that. I'm sure that denatured alcohol will work as good or even better since it's higher in concentrate than rubbing alcohol. GOOD LUCK!!
