Some sub-branches of organic chemistry include biochemistry, physical organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, and synthetic organic chemistry. These areas focus on different aspects of organic compounds, such as their biological functions, physical properties, drug interactions, and synthesis methods.
From a chemistry point of view, organic compounds are carbon compounds and organic chemistry is the study of carbon and its derivatives. But from a biological aspect, organic compounds are those that are obtained from plants or animals.
1. General Chemistry (Basic stoichiometry, rate reactions, equilibria, acids/bases, redox reactions) 2. Inorganic Chemistry (All chemistry that isn't organic (Carbon Compounds). Mostly deals with the transition metals.) 3. Organic Chemistry (The study of carbon. Its own subject without math, (seemingly) reason, and simplicity.) 4. Biochemistry (Chemistry of biological organisms. Proteins, lipids, genetics, etc.) 5. Physical Chemistry (Chemistry of physics, mostly intermolecular forces...just shoot yourself before taking it...it is hell.)
