Both of the systems are responsible for transporting nutrients to the difference parts of the organism. They differ in what they transfer and how. Plants use gravity and the cohesion of water to transfer nutrients. An animals circulatory system, on the other hand, uses pressure that is built up by the heart muscle to push the blood to all parts of the body. This is why people with low blood pressure often have cold hands and feet.
