Typhoon Frank hit Philippines from 18th till 23rd June 2008. It had wind gusts of up to 170 kph. The death toll from the typhoon totaled 938. However, unofficial estimates put the toll close to 1500 deaths. It was the worst typhoon of the year 2008 and the third worst in history to hit Philippines.
