Due to lack of the care of Government.. Many people in here are living the life similar to the "Stone Age". Except the main highway (Karnali Highway) in Kalikot and Jumla, there is no road way. For the transportation of goods(grains) they must be depended upon the Old means of transportation(Mostly donkeys) as most of the people cannot effort for the only Airway Service(At each District). Not only the transport, there are many other problems like illiteracy, poverty,Health problem, communication, Drinking water, electricity, traditional Beliefs, superstition beliefs,etc.. And of course due to this, this region have lowest life expectancy in Nepal.

Various reasons have been identified for the total lack of transportation development in Karnali region. They include both physical (and geographical) and social factors. The land is just not suitable for the transportation and our government hasn't put it as priority. Many rural inhabitants along the highway have poor access to markets, healthcare facilities and schools and deal with high transport costs.
