well the electron transport chain creates 34 ATP and the krebs cycle produces 2 ATP. but in the beginning of glycolysis 2 ATP is produced to 2 ADP then 2 ADP is produced to 4 ATP but then the shuffle step uses the 2 ATP.

What is the process in which sugar is formed in photosynthesis are broken into simpler molecules?

The process in which sugar is formed in photosynthesis is called carbon fixation. During this process, carbon dioxide molecules are taken in by plants and converted into simple sugar molecules through a series of chemical reactions catalyzed by enzymes. These sugar molecules serve as the primary energy source for the plant and are essential for its growth and development.

What is the total number of ATP molecules formed during the cellular respiration?

38around 29 to 30 ATP per glucose molecules realistically speaking. Some say higher but this is unlikely due to leaky membranes.

What is formed as a waste product during respiration?

Carbon Dioxide

What new substance is formed when one molecule of carbon combines with two molecules of oxegyn?

Carbon dioxide (CO2) is formed when one molecule of carbon combines with two molecules of oxygen. This compound is a colorless, odorless gas that is produced during respiration and combustion processes.

Whish gas is formed during respiration what is the reason for it?

Carbon Dioxide

What must happen before acetyl can be formed during respiration?

Glycolysis

How many molecules of carbon dioxide result from the breakdown of one molecule of glucose in aerobic repiration?

Six molecules of carbon dioxide result from the breakdown of one molecule of glucose in aerobic respiration. C6H12O6 + 6O2 --> 6H2O + 6CO2

What forms as an energy source when respiration occurs in the presence of oxygen?

The energy source formed during respiration in the presence of oxygen is ATP (adenosine triphosphate). ATP is created through the process of cellular respiration, where glucose is broken down in the presence of oxygen to produce energy in the form of ATP molecules.

How many ATP molecules must be used as starter energy for aerobic respiration?

One molecule of adenine joined to one molecule of ribose. (two atp molecules are formed - adenosine)

What cellular organelles extracts energy from carbohydrates and form ATP molecules?

Mitochondria are the cellular organelles that extract energy from carbohydrates through a process called cellular respiration. During this process, ATP molecules are formed as a result of the conversion of glucose into energy.

Is water a product of aerobic respiration?

No, water is not a direct product of aerobic respiration. During aerobic respiration, glucose is oxidized to produce carbon dioxide, water, and ATP. Water is formed when oxygen molecules combine with hydrogen ions produced during the electron transport chain.

What is the chemical substance formed in the anaerobic respiration in muscles?

Lactic acid is the chemical substance formed during anaerobic respiration in muscles when there is not enough oxygen available to meet energy demands.
