Tertiary consumers
no. energy is lost at each trophic level.
Water that is a mixture of fresh water and salt water is called brackish water.
Sea level rose after the end of the Pleistocene. The area of the everglades is within a few feet of sea level and there is a large amount of rain to maintain fresh water aquifers that keep out the salt water from the ocean. Enabling the region to be a fresh water swamp.
Ocean water has a higher salinity level due to the presence of dissolved salts, while fresh water has a lower salinity level. Ocean water is also denser and can support different types of marine life compared to fresh water ecosystems. Additionally, ocean water covers a much larger percentage of the Earth's surface compared to fresh water.
The amount of water in the two test tubes symbolizes the energy transfer between trophic levels in a food chain, where each level represents a different group of organisms. As energy is transferred from one level to the next (e.g., from producers to primary consumers), some energy is lost as heat, which can be represented by a decrease in water level. The remaining water illustrates the energy available to the next level, emphasizing that less energy is available as you move up the food chain. Thus, the water levels visually depict the efficiency of energy transfer and the diminishing energy available to higher trophic levels.
It would die - Fresh water fish are poisoned by the salt levels
A slug is a mollusk, it lives on land and eats plants. A leech is an annelid (segmented worm) lives in fresh or salt water depending on the type and sucks blood.
The local fresh water fall
no. energy is lost at each trophic level.
it is a leech
they suck blood, and they belong t the anamalia kingdom. also they live in fresh water and they look more like sea cucumbers.
it matters what type of leech most leeches live in water, such as the north american leech (Medicinal Leech) other species in africa and india do live on land and use there suckers to launch themselves about, they cannot swim and are a nuisance to tourists walking near the tropical areas. for more information search "Leeches" or "leech" on google or other search sites and many informative sites shall appear.
for a aquarium what I do and im kinda new is take out a little water and add fresh water. Has to be fresh water from store that has reverse osmosis if I spelled it right. Make sure when you remove water to check the salt level.
yes
Water that is a mixture of fresh water and salt water is called brackish water.
At sea level, fresh water has a density of 1. 0 grams per milliliter. Seawater has a higher density than fresh water, 1. 025 g/ml.
Nope because if you get out of water and a leech is still on you it is still alive and the only way to get a leech off of you is to put it next to heat
