I always thought, being a railroad buff and familiar with PSI, that it was in Pounds per square inch. Some Path cars ran a standing pressure in the brake system- Main over equalizing, of ll0/70, exactly l0 pounds below the Human norms, the joke was the M-58 cars are a little anemic ( this was compressed air, to operate the brakes) Alas it is ( Blood pressure) actually in MM/Mercury ( Mercury column gauges are still in use, in some quarters) and NOT PSI. People still say (pounds) as it is a sort of flag of convenience, like the confusion of (Two Blocked) with Half Mast in reference to flag usage. Two Blocked originally meant the Flag was ALL the way up- touching the blocks of the pulleys. By some popular misunderstanding- as with the Blood Pressure, as Half is l/2 l over Two- somehow people will say ( the Flag was Two-Blocked for President Kennedy) for example, when they mean Half-Mast. so it goes.
Those are (somewhat outdated) pressure units.
systolic/diastolic measured by blood pressure cuff
Pressure is the force measured over an area
Blood pressure is usually expressed in terms of the systolic (maximum) pressure over diastolic (minimum) pressure and is measured in millimeters of Mercury (mm Hg).
I guess that would be measured in units of pressure: Pascal = Newton/meter2.

sphymomanometer is an instrument used for measuring thew bloodpressure. It is based on the the principle of pressure exerted by the column of blood on the unit area of the blood vessel . Both the systolic and diastolic pressure can be measured by this instrument.
How do you measure blood presure?
Blood pressure is not an absolute measurement, but rather it is measured using a gauge.
with a pressure gauge
Blood Pressure is measured and reported as a pressure in mm of mercury
The pressure in the Atrias and then in the ventricles
No,Blood pressure is a quantitative variable because it is measured in numbers
Blood pressure is also measured: sometimes episodes of sleep apnea can dangerously elevate blood pressure.
Pressure is the force measured over an area
Pressure is measured in Torr. It is a unit used to measure pressure, especially in low-pressure environments, such as in vacuum systems or in chemistry.
