Co-dominance.

ex) A white flower and a red flower mix genes.

White flower = BB

Red flower = AA

They have four offspring (insert punnet square) and instead of the offspring coming out as red or white, they are pink (BA).

Since both genes are homozygous dominant, they don't have anything recessive to exert their dominance on. Therefore the genes are mixed and create a new phenotype. Same goes with two homozygous recessive, since there is no dominance, their phenotypes are combined and their create anew.
