Gladiator
J.W. Wartick
Footsteps' falls awaken me
To a new insanity
Crowds are cheering all around
Waiting for my fall to ground
Crowds who wait for me to fail
Hide behind a darkened veil
Watch my fight with all the pain
Watch the evil hide in vain
My opponent is my thorn
Always stabbing in my side
He stands above me, jeering now
Sword in hand, the cheering crowd
Locked in battle with myself
Torn apart, and with no help
Fighting with the thing that's me
Fighting on incessantly
Gladiator forced to fight
With the darkness of the night
Crowds are cheering all around
Waiting for my fall to ground
Standing up and looking back
I see HIM all dressed in black
He is me and I am he
What is this meaning of "be"
Why can I not leave this place
Locked in time and in a race
With my life that's ebbing now
Beaten, trodden, to the ground
Yet my hope renews at last
My soul awakens, not downcast
With the coming of the dawn
I'll live on, oh, I'll live on
Standing up to face my foe
Who is my own deadly woe
Crowds are screaming all around
As I stand up from the ground
Facing all in the dark place
I feel light shine on my face
I am not abandoned now
Rather, I can face the crowd
The crowd whose faces were unseen
Now are lit for all to see
My own feelings jeered at me
Driving me to insanity
Now I'm free of their dark pull
Free for me to make me whole
Hope restored, enemy slain
All my fears begin to fade
My opponent was destroyed,
Thrown into that darkened void
He was I and I was he
Yet he died and left me be
He was vanquished with no sword
He was vanquished with my word
He was my fear, yet he died
For I dismissed all my pride
Pride consumes us, darkens souls
It will never leave us whole
So we must let it go
Or we all will lose our soul
Hate does not solve anything
Anger leads to just more pain
If we will remember this
We will always be in bliss
Man is his own enemy
Unless he can let him be
Let his pride, hate, and lust
Crumble down into the dust
So the lesson of all time;
Who can let go of pride?
Who will claim the blessed day
When our hate is blown away
The data collected when all the members of a population have been genotyped (scored) with a set of molecular markers can be used to make a linkage map.
A linkage map for a group of organisms is made using genetic markers, such as DNA sequences or phenotypic traits, that are found to be physically close on a chromosome and tend to be inherited together. By analyzing patterns of inheritance within a population, researchers can map the relative positions of these genetic markers along a chromosome and identify regions that are linked.
Early scientists used to group organisms together using scientific taxonomy
A taxonomic key is used to identify and group organisms based on their characteristics such as physical features, habitats, and other distinguishing traits. It typically presents a series of dichotomous choices that lead to the identification of a specific organism or group.
The five kingdoms used to classify organisms are: Animalia, Plantae, Fungi, Protista, and Monera. Each kingdom represents a broad group of organisms with similar characteristics and evolutionary relationships.

Insects make up the greatest percentage of the worlds organisms that are classified in each group. With 84 percent of the worlds organisms still to be defined insects are. Under classification "Species" is the group most commonly used.
A gene map is a chromosomal map, which shows the location of genes. Based on inherited genes, a linkage can be used to create a gene map.
