Pepinex is an all-female, cultivated, reliable variety of the European greenhouse cucumber [Cucurbita sativa]. It resists such cucumber ailments as gummosis and leaf spot. It's bitter-free, low in calories, and sees 96% of its weight as water. Its flowers are sterile so seed doesn't set. It must be direct sown into the soil, for harvest 12 weeks later. It needs full sun, and can handle soil pHs ranging from an acidic 5.6 to a neutral-alkaline limit of 7.0-7.5. It matures to a height of 6-12".
