Squamous epithelial cells are scale like layers of cells that pose no risk. When referencing rare squamous epithelial cells it just means that there are not a lot of them.
Saquamous cells are flat cells. Single cell layer of these squamous cells is called saqumous cell epithelium. The stratified epithelium means formed of layers [strata] of cells which may or may not be squamous cells. The functions of these layers are different.
Squamous means flat. So you have flat cells here. The basal cells are thicker and progressively becomes more and more flat.
The word squamous refers to the shape of the cell - it means scale shaped and refers to cells that bulge in the middle and taper at the ends. There are many types of cells that are squamous cells. As such, there is no particular protein that is characteristic of squamous cells. They will possess the same set of thousands of basic housekeeping proteins that any cell will possess and supplemented with the dozens or hundreds of proteins that make them a particular kind of squamous cell.

No, squamous and columnar cells are two different types of epithelial cells. Squamous cells are flat and thin, while columnar cells are tall and rectangular. Both types of cells are found in various tissues throughout the body and serve different functions.
It means that the doctor didn't get enough cells from the pap/swab to be evaluatable. I just had one done and it read that way too and I asked what it meant too. Hope this helped
Epithelial cells in urine generally means that the urine was not a clean mid-stream collection. Epithelial cells, are lining cells of the urethra and are constantly being turned over and sloughed. These cells are commonly called squamous epithelial cells. These cells can also indicate vaginal or perianal contamination. By voiding the first few mL of urine before collecting, there should be a very minimal amount of epithelial cells in the urine. There should only be concern when the epithelial cells found are determined to be renal epithelial cells. And are only concerning in high concentrations. These cells come from the renal tubules and can be a sign of renal disease and should be followed up by your physician.

Myeloid means resembling bone marrow cells.
Endocervical and/or squamous cells are normal on a pap smear. This notation on your result means the test was complete.
I'm assuming you are referring to a result from a Urine test. Epithelial cells are skin cells. The lab will report this on urine analysis and it usually means the urine sample is contaminated with skin cells rather than just urine. When I see this reported and review my note on the patient and see that there is equivocal signs and symptoms, I will often ask for another sample before starting antibiotics.
