Thats true. Hurricanes are deadly and unpredictable, but they only affect a small part of the Earth. An asteroid strike or a supervolcano would have planetary consequences, and would be the deadliest natural disasters. But if you count the sun as a natural disaster, then the deadliest disaster would definitly be failure of the sun.
