Carbon's effect on the environment is not due to pure atomic carbon, but rather to carbon compounds. Carbon monoxide is a poison capable of causing death to both humans and animals. It is created when carbon burns without enough oxygen available. Carbon dioxide, the gas which occurs when carbon burns in sufficient oxygen, is vital to plant life, triggers deeper breathing in humans, and accumulates in the atmosphere, trapping energy in the atmosphere thus warming the planet. Most climate scientists agree that this global warming is causing climate change.
Carbon forms chain-like compounds with hydrogen such as oil from which we get gasoline, natural gas, also called methane (1 carbon, 4 hydrogen), a gas called propane (3 carbon 8 hydrogen, a gas/liquid named butane (4 carbon 10 hydrogen) and many other compounds. Mankind gets energy by burning these compounds. Carbon is also a main constituent of coal. Many of these carbon based compounds contain things such as sulfur which create gasses when burned which are bad for man, animals, and structures. We refer to the occurrence of these sulfur compounds which are washed from the air by rain, as acid rain. They are bad for our lungs and they eat away at out structures.
The harmful effects of CARS to our environment is the carbon monoxide
Your carbon footprint is the amount of carbon dioxide that enters the atmosphere because of the electricity and fuel you use. So the more appliances you use, the bigger your carbon footprint, resulting in the increase of global warming, which affects the environment.
The negative effects are that the process of making soap can harm the environment because soap for cleansing are obtained by treating vegetable or animal oils and fats with a strongly alkaline solution that can harm your body AND the environment.
Rugby can have both positive and negative effects. Positive effects include physical fitness, teamwork skills, and social connections. Negative effects can include injuries, particularly concussions and long-term health issues. In terms of the environment, rugby matches can contribute to carbon emissions through travel to games, energy use at stadiums, and waste generated during events. However, steps can be taken to mitigate these impacts, such as promoting sustainable practices and supporting eco-friendly initiatives.
Carbon tetrachloride is a man-made chemical and does not occur naturally in the environment. It was historically used in various industrial applications but is now heavily regulated due to its harmful effects on human health and the environment.
The positive effects of electricity on the environment are quite limited as mostly electricity has negative impact on the environment. Plants can be said to benefit slightly from the carbon dioxide released in the generation of electricity.
The harmful effects of CARS to our environment is the carbon monoxide
Carbon can be dissolved by certain chemicals like sulfuric acid or nitric acid. When carbon dissolves, it can release carbon dioxide gas into the environment, contributing to air pollution and climate change. This can have negative effects on the environment by increasing global temperatures and causing harm to ecosystems.
The negative effects that humans have on the clownfish and its environment is the increased supply of carbon dioxide. Increased carbon dioxide causes the clownfish to lose the sense of smell and swim towards the predators.
yes
to much pollution
it release carbon dioxide
chopping down trees
control the outcome,never give up
carbon dioxide (CO2)
One of the most harmful effects of CO2 on the environment is the increase in global warming which results in climate change. Excess carbon dioxide in the air can also have negative effects on the human body.
Humans can modify there environment in many ways. All of us humans leave a carbon footprint that effects the environment in good or bad ways. We modify the environment with our own actions. We can effect many lives by our carbon footprint and many ecosystems. Because of humans carbon footprint the Earth has effects. The biggest one would be global warming.
