If you are doing a science project on mars, jupiter, or venus, or even earth, you should say they all have hard and rock surfaces! Mars, is the 2nd smallest planet. Mars is a very red, and rocky planet. Jupiter is more far away, and has less heat. Its surface is hard. Earth, is hard and rock of course... we have islands and canyons, and mountains.. That all counts as... hard and rocky surfaces! Venus is the closest planet to earth. I forgot to say Venus is close to earth, its the same size as earth. It is the best planet close to earth, that can possibly have life. Mercury can too be counted as a surface with a hard and rocky surface... but it would not count to say that in your project or homework assignment. It is not correct. However Mercury is very warm, from the sun balancing on the small planet.
Saturn's interior certainly is quite hot. The core temperature probably is 21,000 °F. In fact, Saturn radiates more energy into space than it receives from the Sun. Saturn's core may be rocky and about the size of the planet Earth. Above that hard core may be a liquid metallic hydrogen layer and a molecular hydrogen layer. Various ices also may be present.
The whole planets made up of gas, and underneath that is a layer of liquid and then a hard rocky core.
Saturn does not really have a surface. The only hard part of Saturn is its rocky core. The "surface" of Saturn is actually hydrogen and helium kept in a spherical shape by the planet's gravity.
The surface of Mars is primarily rocky and dusty, with various types of rocks and boulders scattered across the landscape. The terrain can also be hard in some areas due to the presence of bedrock and compacted soil.
no planet expect Mercury

Terrestrial planets have a rocky surface with a possible gaseous atmosphere. Like Earth. A gaseous planet like Jupiter is made up of mostly gas. What exactly is at the core is hard to determine since the pressures at the center are so huge, strange stuff happens like Hydrogen turning into a liquid.

Because The earth the only planet which contains living things... In other worlds there isnt the air which we here breath in other planets there are only hurricanes and so on.. Some of the planets are very cold or very hot to live in..
That is Pluto. Since Pluto is a dwarf planet you can't find it, because it is so small.
It is small with a hard serface (Basicaly no gas on it to make it a gas giant and its too small to be a gaint ^_^)
