Some types of mammals that you would find commonly are many iguanas, lizards, and the Trupial, a very common bird found in Curacao. Even thought their are many animals in Curacao, it would be rare to find a poisonous animal, there are less than 10 types of poisonous animals! There are many beautiful species of plants. The most common are the straight datu cactus. There are coconut palm trees, Divi Divi trees, and many other trees. You will notice colorful pink and white oleander bushes in private gardens and in commercial landscaping and smell the orchids all over the island.
