aerobic oxidatio of pyruvic acid

after pyruvic acid is form it get transfer to mitochondria. as soon as pyruvic acid enter to mitochondria it get oxidise to c02 in the reaction called oxidative decarboxylation.

here

1st it get decarboxylate and then it get oxidised by the help of enzyme

called pyruvate dehydrogenase. nd this enzym is made up of decarboxylase, lipoic acid amid tpp [thiamine pyrophosphate] nd in the presence of some cofactor

such as vit b1 nd mg ions.

reaction given below

pyruvate + NAD+ + co-A = acetyl co-A + NADH + H+ + c02

Process occurs in cytoplasm?

glycolysis, occurs in the cytoplasm

What one of these stages occurs in the cytosol of the cell?

Glycolysis occurs in the cytosol of the cell. It is the metabolic pathway that breaks down glucose to produce energy in the form of ATP.

What process in cellular respiration occurs with or without oxygen?

Glycolysis

Where is glucose converted into pyruvate in the cell?

The cytoplasm

Do plants undergo glycolysis?

No, plants do not undergo glycolysis. Glycolysis is a metabolic process that occurs in the cytoplasm of cells to break down glucose into pyruvate. In plants, glycolysis occurs in the cytoplasm of plant cells just like in animal cells.

Where in the body does glycolysis occur?

Glycolysis occurs in all tissues/cells of the body. The enzymes for glycolysis are located primarily in the cytoplasm.

What is the anaerobic process that splits glucose into two molecules of pyruvic acid?

The anaerobic process that splits glucose into two molecules of pyruvic acid is called glycolysis. Glycolysis occurs in the cytoplasm of cells and is the first step in both aerobic and anaerobic respiration.

Which of the following normally occurs whether or not oxygen is present?

Glycolysis is a metabolic process that normally occurs whether or not oxygen is present. It is the first step in cellular respiration and involves the breakdown of glucose to produce energy in the form of ATP.

Which step in the process of glycolysis requires the presence of oxygen?

None of the steps in glycolysis require the presence of oxygen. Glycolysis is the process of breaking down glucose to produce energy, and it occurs in the cytoplasm of cells, independent of oxygen availability.

What stage do glycolysis occurs in?

Glycolysis itself is a process, which has many stages. It can occur throughout the cell using two ATP molecules.

What process occurs before the Krebs cycle?

The formation of acetyl-CoA

In cellular respiration glycolysis follows the Krebs cycle true or false?

False. In cellular respiration, glycolysis occurs before the Krebs cycle. Glycolysis is the first step in breaking down glucose to produce energy. The Krebs cycle follows glycolysis in the process of cellular respiration.
