Well, first of all, a set of latitude/longitude coordinates describes a single point,

so it's not possible for a whole state to be located there.

That point is about a mile south-southeast of the center of Mohawk, in New York state.

This set of coordinates appears quite often here, and it's always relatively important

to also mention that the point is 1,750-ft due south of the pavement center-line of

Putts Hill Road.

It's not correct to say that New York State is located at this point, and any other

point in the state has different coordinates.
