Hurricanes
Hurricanes form over tropical waters and are earth's largest and most destructive storms.
A hurricane is a type of weather phenomenon defined by a large storm with powerful winds that forms over warm ocean waters. Hurricanes can last for several days and are known for their destructive capabilities due to the high wind speeds and heavy rainfall associated with them.
A hurricane, also known as a tropical cyclone, forms over warm ocean water when the conditions are right. Warm water provides the energy for the storm to strengthen and develop, creating the intense winds and heavy rainfall characteristic of hurricanes.

A storm system called a 'Tropical Cyclone' also known as a 'Hurricane' if it forms over the Atlantic, a 'Cyclone' if it forms over the Indian ocean and a 'Typhoon' if it forms over the Pacific.

The general term for such a storm is tropical cyclone. However, they may be called tropical storms, hurricanes, typhoons, or simply cyclones depending on their intensity and where they occur.
The storm of the century forms when atmospheric conditions, such as warm ocean waters, low pressure systems, and differences in air temperature, create a perfect environment for a powerful storm to develop. These conditions allow for the rapid intensification and growth of the storm, leading to its destructive potential.
