Depending on where you live it could be that the temperature it soo hot for the jade plant. I live in Arizona, keep my Jade shaded all day and am having the same problem. I stopped by a local nursery and was told that it's just too hot outside for the little fella. Now I'm cutting it back, placing it near a window until the temperature returns to under 100 degrees.
