There are four different types of classifications depending on the planet itself.
Terrestrials
Planets with bodies largely composed of rock: Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars
Gas Giants
Planets largely composed of gaseous material and significantly more massive and has a greater gravitational pull: Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune.
Ice Giants
This is a sub-class of Gas Giants but are distinguished by their significantly lower mass and by a depletion of hydrogen and helium in their atmospheres together with a significantly higher proportion of rock and ice: Uranus and Neptune.
Dwarf Planets
A recent change in classification of August 2006, they are not dominant in their orbits: Ceres, Pluto, Haumea, Makemake and Eris.
Hope this helps!

The two planets farthest from the sun are Uranus and Neptune. Uranus is the seventh planet from the sun, while Neptune is the eighth planet. Both planets are classified as ice giants due to their composition of mostly ice and rock.
Terrestrial planets are mercury, venus earth, mars. Also called as rock planets.
Planets are classified based on the International Astronomical Union's criteria, such as orbiting the sun, being round due to gravity, and clearing its orbit of debris. Planets that do not meet all these criteria are rejected as planets and instead classified as dwarf planets or other celestial bodies.
Some of the newly discovered planets beyond Pluto include Eris, Haumea, Makemake, and Gonggong. These are classified as dwarf planets due to their size and orbit characteristics. There have been no new planets discovered in our solar system beyond Pluto that are not classified as dwarf planets.
The planets are normally classified in size by their equatorial diameter.
They can be classed as terrestrial planets or gas giants, or inner and outer.
There are currently five official dwarf planets: Pluto, Ceres, Eris, Makemake and Haumea.

No, they are two because they are two completely different things
At one time, all living things were classified into two kingdoms of plants and animals. Aristotle developed this first classification system.

They are classified as terrestrial planets. The other grouping is called the gas giant planets.
