Thermal Burn
napalm can burn through anything and everything from 8 to 17 hours
Attempting to put out thermite with water is dangerous since it can create an explosive reaction due to its extreme heat. The safest way to handle a thermite reaction is by letting it burn out on its own in a controlled environment. Using a Class D fire extinguisher specifically designed for metal fires could also be effective in extinguishing thermite.
magnesium oxide is formed
thermite is a rusty red colored powder consisting of:iron oxidepowdered aluminum.these items are fairly easy to get if you know where to look. be careful not to be to close so you do not get a 3rd degree burn from the heat.
the white powder is magnesium oxide. Magnesium burns in air with a dazzling white light to produce magnesium oxide. the equation is- 2Mg + O2 = 2MgO
A chemical burn.

Thermal burn. The molten metal and the heat of the reaction itself would burn your skin and/or a limb off your body if you are ever stupid enough to light it without the right precautions.
Thermite has its own oxygen source so it can burn without an outer source of oxygen, including underwater and in the vacuum of space. However, I do doubt that thermite can burn in space, since space is quite cold. It would just depend in how far away from the Sun you are when you light the thermite.
A few materials that can create a very hot fire include magnesium, thermite, and certain rocket fuels like hydrazine. These materials burn at extremely high temperatures, reaching over 4000 degrees Fahrenheit.
yes and it keeps on burning
it burn i guess
I would not say "anything" however I have seen it burn through a few inches of steel plate in a matter of seconds, melting it down to a liquid I saw a TV show where they were running experiments with THermite, it can burn through a great many things but it CAN'T burn through Titanium
The approximate temperature is 2500 degrees celsius, not accounting for a preheat, or other factors that enhance the speed or temperature of the burn. Thermite is estimated to burn 3 times hotter than molten lava.

Burn a piece of magnesium (just did an assessment on that)
